The first part of this event was raking leaves for several elderly residents of Assumption Parish. We met up at the Old Church early in the morning to hand out the assignments. Members of the Knights of Columbus also joined us to rake yards. There was a light covering of snow at the first few houses that added to the challenge, however, that seemed not to be the case at other houses. We raked up a storm and transported all the leaves to the curb for pickup. With all the yards completed we headed to lunch. The rakers were Joe, Sean, JohnLuke, Mark, Nick, Mr. Botzman, Mr. Deran, Mr. Dzurnak, Mr. Murrin, and Mr. Peters.
After lunch we drove to the Monastery and went in the back cabin. It was very cold so we spent most of the time in the cabin with the two cub scouts that came. The two brave cub scouts braved the cold and slept outside in a tent. Joe slept under the table. We played capture the flag for two hours. We ate all the extra other food. There was nothing too notable but it was all really fun. The scouts staying at the Monastery were Joe, Sam, Ayden, Nick, Brighton, Mr. Botzman, Mr. Dzurnak, Mr. Murrin and Mr. Deran.
