A group of 810 scouts took a fall trip to enjoy the Top Shot Camporee at Beaumont Scout Reservation the weekend of September 11-13, 2020. It was a busy weekend of one event after another trying to accumulate as many points as possible. Points were collected, but no prizes were provided…so it was all in fun. In the evenings, the temperature was very comfortable for sleeping in tents. The days were sunny and pleasant. The food was provided so we ate okay. Some of the events included a climbing wall; trash can basketball; paint ball shooting; rifle (22) shooting; the scouts enjoyed bottle rockets the most as it was a warm day and a patrol of scouts from another troop (girls) were competing to see who could get the other patrol wet. Both patrols won and lost depending on who was keeping score LOL. One small scrape was the only accident the entire weekend. We were on schedule and had fun, so it was overall a success. Shooting up stuff were Joseph, Christian, JohnLuke, Seth, Alex, Zachary, Andrew, Mr. Botzman, Mr. Radd, and Mr. Smith.
